My pastels are inspired by blending the spirit world, ie energy, into this physical world. Something etheric…. I understand that artwork is subjective and speaks to different people on different levels. I would love to discuss this with and delve more into how you interpret these paintings. As I created these pieces I strove for dynamism, multi-dimensionality, play - balance and beauty.

“Sublime”
This painting is inspired by the blending of Earth and Heaven. The Sun rays shine down on Earth and blend into the falling rain, in somewhat of a vortex. The Earth reaches up towards the sky with flowers resembling Sun light. Mean while there is a stair way ascending into a door way melding Earth and Heaven.

“Flower Dragon”
This painting is about the feminine side of Dragons. The soothing yet vibrant flowers are an expression of how peaceful a Dragon’s aura can be. All the while this Dragon is smiling right back.
"Crazy Flower”
This painting, is designed as a mandala. Representing flower power. There is a lopsided sense of symmetry. This piece of art work can resemble the vibrancy and sense of aliveness of energy, or the spirit world.
Here is a pastel of a mandala, inspired with the intention for meditative purposes or to balance the energy of a room. With its imperfections, while painting I was inspired about how the center of the painting drew the energy deeper into the center of the geometric structure.

“Rasta Elements”
Rasta Elements, was created while listening to some Reggae. The Phoenix of a sun, dancing with the wood of a Dragons seemed elemental to my imagination. The give and take between the two etheric beings brought the light of dancing into the play and dynamic of this image.
Here the light of a Pheonix shines down, through the sky and wind, onto a plant growing into something that wanted to play with this divine entity.

“Dragon Tree”
Here the interplay between a Dragon and a Tree, dances around and embraces a representation of our Earth. The golden light of the Dragon, adds a nice background in conjunction with the sky blue rings an expression of wind and sky.

Dragon Earth
Here in this pastel a dragon is coming out of the Earth to protect another planet in the sky, ‘Earth like itself this other planet”. The dragon is trying to protect this foreign planet from a violent thunder storm, or a storm of something like fractured light. The tree to the left is aiding in the dragon’s balance and supporting his efforts through his struggle. Here the dragon and tree come from the same place, they are apart of each other. Can you sense the conflict?
